Welcome to the Galaxy Lounge Restaurant in Arugam Bay

The Galaxy Lounge offers the best in traditional Sri Lankan cuisine and also caters for western tastes. All food is freshly prepared each day and tantalises the taste buds whilst vitalising the body. Please order early as food preparation can take a while.  We do not pre prepare any of our dishes or sauces as we believe food should be as fresh as possible to maximise nutritional value and taste.  If you like fresh tropical fruits, vegetables and seafood, this is the place for you.

 

The Galaxy Restaurant now has free wifi for all its guests.

 

 

Please come and enjoy our restaurant, the hammocks and our 2 huge lounging sofas even if you are not staying with us.  You won’t want to leave!

 

Our Delicious Menu

Our menu offers fresh seafood bought directly from the local fishermen.

Butterfish, Seer, Tuna, Lobster, Crab, Squid and Prawns are common seafood ingredients. Combined with fresh aubergine, carrot, tomato, onion, chilli, garlic, cashews, potatoes, pumpkin and salads, these are just some of the dishes on offer.

 

 

Our juice bar and freshly roasted coffee is the only way to start the day!

Chicken and beef are available however pork is not within this largely Muslim community.

Prices are typically US$8 per person for a main meal.

The chefs at Galaxy are always keen to try their hand at new dishes so please ask if there is something special you would like us to prepare.  Anything is possible!

 

 

Enjoy the extensive range of dishes from our menu or share a BBQ buffet with other guests.  For special occasions we can arrange fire side dining on the beach.
