Class Waves in Arugam Bay
The surf point at Arugam Bay is undoubtably one of
the best point breaks in the world. In season, Arugam
Bay provides a consistent perfect 2-5ft waves sometimes
breaking at 6-8ft on a good swell chart.
The wind is predominately offshore all day, due to
the south west monsoon and breaks hollow on the rocky
reef and sand point from May through to September.
The wave is long and offers some off the best barrel
surfing in the world with two and sometimes three hollow
sections which last a lifetime.
